Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners is an independent town planning consultancy founded in 1962 to provide specialist advice on all aspects of the planning process. Over more than three decades the Practice has built up extensive planning and development experience. Today they are one of the UK’s largest independent firms specialising in development planning with offices in London, Newcastle, Manchester and Cardiff.

Allen & York are market leading Town Planning Recruiters and consequently the HR Manager at NLP contacted Allen & York to assist in finding new staff with skills in Regeneration and Infrastructure Planning at Associate Director Level to join a new team within the London Office.

The Service

After careful thought regarding the various services that Allen & York can provide, including Executive Search, Managed Advertising and Database Search. It was agreed that the most appropriate service to fill this position was an in-depth Database Search within our ‘Network of Contacts’ by the Planning team.

This option utilised Allen & York's relationship with various senior individuals within the market to give the best possible coverage and opportunity to reach very relevant candidates.

Through this well established network, Allen & York were able to quickly identify those with a proven regeneration track record, of not only winning work, but delivering upon this - as well as the ability to develop productive business relationships and identify potential new customers.

The Result

The most appropriate candidates were presented to NLP and interviews arranged. From the individuals interviewed the outstanding candidate, which we had recommended strongly from the outset, was offered the position.
