Our client is part of National Grid's Electricity Alliance.
They are about to enter a second 5 year contract with National Grid. In the first 5 years, business grew by 40% and is expected to continue to grow further to a value of around £200m per year. This growth requires the strengthening of the project delivery organisation and the formation of an additional project management team. Exciting opportunities now exist for project management staff at all levels.
The Senior Project Manager will lead a project team, consisting of a combination of Project Engineers, Planning Engineers, Commercial Executives and Project Administrators.
The principal purpose and objectives of the job are:-
- To safely deliver robust and reliable substations, ensuring improved efficiency and value through collaboration.
- To manage a project management team responsible for the execution of nominated substation projects.
The Senior Project Manager will report to an Operations Manager and will have full Profit & Loss responsibility for the nominated projects.
It is expected that successful candidate will be degree qualified, a member of a recognised professional body and have formal Health & Safety qualifications.
It is also expected that the successful candidate(s) will have experience of HV substation systems/equipment.
